The contest celebrates its 38th year in 2025. Entries are accepted from Monday, June 2nd, 2025 to Thursday, July 31st, 2025 at 11:59pm.

Submit Writing Piece

Before submitting your work please ensure the following:
  • Uploaded FILE NAME is the SAME as the TITLE OF YOUR ENTRY. Your submission may be disqualified if your file name and title of your entry do not match. 
  • Your name does NOT appear anywhere in the file name. Correct file name example: "SunshineAndKittens.docx"
  • Your name does NOT appear anywhere in the document.
  • For short stories and poems submit ONLY .doc and .docx files.
  • For comics submit ONLY .pdf and .png files. 
  • For Random text-based entries submit .doc and .docx files. If the file contains illustrations or images submit .pdf or .png.
Individual uploaded files must be in .docx or .doc and cannot be larger than 16Mb. For security reasons, .exe files are not allowed and files uploaded must be from your local computer. Network/remote path files will not be accepted.
